For whatever reason I decided to make some "maxis-match" deco roads. I guess they're more maxis-mix, since I'm using @k-hippie's road textures so that they blend in with their mods. That being said, will I, or anyone for that matter, actually use them? I think not, lol. I just felt like making some props other than buildings to try and layout the world first, but now that I think about it, laying out custom roads seems like a tedious and frustrating process🤦‍♀️ Also, I literally do not know how to create city layouts, which is one of the reasons I haven't created a TS3 world. Anyway, is anyone actually interested? I know there are already some conversions of roads out there, but I don't want to use those and I also thought these textures would suit the game better, at least for those with khippie's terrain replacement. If not I'll probably just throw them in the bin honestly.

Creating these did let me test out something new I learned about baking textures in blender, so that's nice. Because of that, I would say this wasn't a complete waste of my time. If there's anyone who does blender renders with their sims and would like the object files for a project or something, let me know. They snap perfectly with blender's grid using the increments snap tool.

I've finished modeling the simple one and now I'm working a more detailed version. It's not done, but it's already pretty high poly, so I'm probably just gonna scrap it🫠 (or maybe keep it for myself, IDK) I was thinking of making the railings texture based, but to be honest I'm not a huge fan of that because they tend to have artifacts at the edges. I may still give it a try though, since I do like the stairway. I'll just have to find a texture for them that I actually like.

Either way, this building is slowly becoming my favorite!

For the record, as of now it's at 1.3K polys, non-triangulated. If you guys would still like it, let me know.

I honestly think ppl are needlessly doomspiraling abt some of the crew not returning for s3. Levan, whose fav character is Lestat and fav book is TVL since he’s 14 not returning for s3??? And Emma who obvsly enjoys working with Sam A LOT and knows how much s3 means to him, I’d guess she’s in since s3 was confirmed. There’s also some speculations on twt abt Mara not returning for production design, which I’m quite skeptical since the show made a point for her to be at sdcc last year

I can't say that surprises me, anon, I think people love doomspiraling between seasons generally, haha, but honestly, they might not return, and that's okay? There have already been changes in the teams between seasons - Emma only came on as a director in s2! As did Craig Zisk who directed 2.01 and 2.05, which I think are two of the best eps of the season if not the series, and he at least is confirmed for s3 already - creative teams don't have to stay the same throughout the run of a show. There's nothing to 'doomspiral' over, I trust Rolin and the other producers to crew the team appropriately - which, again, they've done already by bringing Emma and Craig on for s2, who weren't involved in s1 - and while I certainly hope Emma, Levan and Mara will all be involved still in s3 too, if they're not, I trust their roles to be filled by people who similarly love this series and bring their own nuance and passion to it.

Again, hope they come back, but it's not the end of the world if they don't. There's already been creative handover behind the scenes of this show, it's okay if there is again when the overall creative vision is being managed by the same people (Rolin & co).

yes it is i with another recolour from the new pack. there has been a wee glimmer of sunshine on the uk the last week so of course i had to make a summer dress

this time i'm using some new patterns! Well, new to CC, anyway. It really is just- Lifesteal does the whole meta/out of character/cc vs c!, thing different than anyone else. What really shocked me initially when getting into ls was how often they talked about “content”. About doing stuff purely for the video, how “so and so ruined the ending of my video”. And I don’t say that as a bad thing, just coming from the streaming-based dsmp, lore based empires smp, short video series traffic, and prison escape/debunks, it was a complete shock.

Nobody talks about it, as much as them. Maybe post-dsmp people talk about bts more, and sure Scarlet Pearl from double life wouldn’t have happened if Pearl wasn’t forced to record at 5am her time, but noone else talks about it so openly.

It’s like- early on, I watched Vitalizys s4 stuff, and, he fully ends that one video with the conclusion being him irl talking to the viewer. No more c!Vitalizy trying to save the server, just Vitalizy being affected by the sever. And that was it, that was the conclusion to his lore-based Minecraft video ! Thats crazy ! And now we have the other half of purple duo doing things that can only be fully explained by ooc motivations. There’s no way to talk about the Warden arc without acknowledging that Subz wasn’t acting in character for like any of that.

I don’t have much of a conclusion to this, it’s just something that’s been rumbling around my head since I first started watching streams. You literally can’t talk about like Abyss without acknowledging it was about inactivy on the server that they’re all playing on, that they’re content creators playing on. You can’t talk about PB and J and Bfb without talking about server equitte which is also an ooc thing. Idk, even the exploits even the whole Youtube narrative vs what actually happened on stream. It’s impossible to talk about lifesteal in this rigid box of canon vs not. It’s all canon, or nothing is, or it just doesn’t matter.
